o   Fatty Acid portfolio has Palm fatty acid based products and Rapeseed oil based products.

o   Palm fatty acid based products are mainly used in Tyre industry and FMCG sector.

o   Rapeseed oil based products are mainly used as ingredient for specialty chemicals and also in Oil and Gas Industry.

o   The Fatty Acid portfolio accounts for 42% of turnover of the division

·         Fatty Alcohol

o   Fatty Alcohol portfolio has mix of mid chain Alcohol and Long chain alcohol.

o   Fatty alcohol contributes to 32% of the turnover of the division

·         Surfactants:

o   The products are mainly used in Detergents & Cleaners and Personal Care.

o   Surfactants contributes to 17% of the turnover of the division

o   Demand from industry producing cleansing products continued to remain strong in current fiscal year also

o   The division enjoys product approval from several multinational companies which helps in participation in Global Sourcing Programme

·         Glycerin: Glycerine is used in Pharmaceutical and Personal Care industry.

o   Glycerine accounted for 9% of the turnover of this division.

o   Demand for Glycerine in the country is higher than the domestic manufacturing capacity.

o   The Gap is filled up by import of Refined Glycerine

  Airbag industry to grow to Rs 6,000-7,000 crore by FY27: ICRA The government has mandated six airbags -- two front airbags, two side airbags and two side-curtain airbags -- for the M1 category of vehicles to be manufactured from October 2023. ·           The airbag industry, which currently stands at Rs 2,400-2,500 crore, is expected to grow to Rs 6,000-7,000 crore by FY27 at a four-year CAGR of 25-30%, ICRA said on Tuesday.
