I love Dividend paying stocks

When i say dividend paying stocks: I mean that particular company should be paying consistent dividends from last couple of years

In this situation: if the stocks move up then i can enjoy capital appreciation and if stock doesnt perform well then i should get my FD rates income ( The base case)

  • Sole distributor of electricity within an area of 567sq km of Kolkata, Howrah and adjoining areas and serve 3.5 million consumers which include domestic, industrial, and commercial users

  • Own & operate two thermal power plants in licensed area generating 885 MW of power. These are Budge Budge Generating Station (750 MW) and Southern Generating Station (135 MW) within  licensed area. 
  • Through subsidiary, Noida Power Company Ltd, we distribute power in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh with  a license area of 335 sq. km
  • Also operate three Distribution Franchisee (DF) in Rajasthan: Kota, Bharatpur and Bikaner
  • Also won the Distribution Franchisee of Malegaon circle, close to Nashik in Maharashtra, which commenced operations in 2019-20
  • In 2021- 22, some 1.5 lakh meters were installed, of which over 97,000 were new connections
  • Total liabilities from financing activities: 15,008.67 cr
  • CESC’s new distribution licence for Chandigarh to bolster revenues
    • The company would be granted a distribution licence for 25 years but the required formalities for getting the license were currently under process. “Once operational this will significantly bolster the company’s distribution footprint,” CESC said in its annual report for FY22.
    • Eminent Power, a subsidiary of CESC Kolkata, has emerged as the highest bidder to take over Chandigarh Electricity Distribution business for Rs 871 crore, sources said
