  Schneider Electric & Nvidia Driving AI Data Centre Evolution Schneider Electric and Nvidia have launched a partnership to accelerate the development of next-generation AI data centre infrastructure across Europe Nvidia is partnering with companies all over the world to enhance its AI services. Now, with  Schneider Electric, the giants are developing infrastructure solutions for AI data centres  – both companies committing to joint research and development initiatives focused on power, cooling and control systems. The collaboration, announced during Nvidia GTC Paris, aligns with the European Union's AI infrastructure ambitions and supports  the ‘InvestAI’ initiative, which plans to mobilise €200 billion (US$228.77bn) in AI investment .   Gateway Distriparks Signs Exclusive Container Train Operations Agreement for MMLP, Ankleshwar , Gujarat Gateway Distriparks Limited (GDL) announced that it has signed a 15-year agreement to become the exclusive container train operator for the 120-acre Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Ankleshwar, Gujarat developed by Sawariya Group of Industries (Sawariya).  Strategically located near Surat, MMLP Ankleshwar is equipped to handle domestic containers, EXIM containers, bulk cargo and to offer other multimodal services.  It is planned to have an annual capacity of 200,000 TEUs and 850,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space, with capacity expansion to be undertaken in phases in line with business demand.  The facility is capable of handling double stack trains and is connected directly to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. AI data centers to drive 11-fold rise in water consumption by 2028: Morgan Stanley Artificial Intelligence (AI) data centers are expected to significantly increase global water consumption in the coming years, according to a report by Morgan Stanley. The report said annual water use for cooling and electricity generation by AI data centres could reach around 1,068 billion litres by 2028. "AI data centers to drive annual water consumption for cooling and electricity generation to approximately 1,068 billion liters by 2028 (our base case) - an 11x increase from 2024 estimates," it stated. The report noted that while water use for cooling data centres is widely acknowledged, the indirect water use through electricity generation remains underappreciated. AI's broader water footprint also includes semiconductor manufacturing.
